Marine Biology Research Assistant

About the Project

Join our marine ecosystems lab and assist with data collection, analysis and fieldwork in the Adriatic Sea. This internship offers hands-on experience in one of Europe's most dynamic marine research environments.

You will work closely with senior researchers and PhD students on ongoing projects related to ocean biodiversity, climate change impacts on marine life, and ecosystem monitoring.

What You Will Do

• Assist with field sampling and specimen collection
• Process and analyze biological samples in the lab
• Help maintain research databases and documentation
• Participate in weekly team meetings and seminars
• Contribute to data visualization and reporting

Who Can Apply

• Bachelor or Master students in Biology, Marine Biology, Ecology or related fields
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis (R or Python is a plus)
• Good English communication skills
• Enthusiasm for fieldwork and outdoor research
• Available for the full duration of the internship
